You know, it doesn't much matter what we call it.  People
will be confused anyway.  PEOPLE WILL ALWAYS BE CONFUSED.
You can't possibly choose the "right thing" if by the right
thing, you mean something that everyone will understand WITHOUT
READING THE FINE MANUAL.   

Let them RTFM!

I note that the two recent confusions come from Michael Schwerne,
whose self-selected IRC nick was historically "Stupid".
