That was actually my first thought; I wondered whether there would be
problems deciding on whether any particular usage was in, as it were,
string context... No problem if the object is in an interpolated string
or output is (ultimately) to a handle, but what about as a parameter of
an arbitrary call to XS code (Tk for example)? I wouldn't want to break
huge reams of CPAN :)
