Thomas W. Evans	donated his childhood home at 40th and Spruce to Penn
on condition that they found a dental school there.  The Penn Dental
School is still there.  Evans was a world-famous dentist who smuggled
Emperor Napoleon III and his wife out of Paris by hiding them in his
carriage.
