I said that through the whole process, there has never been one moment when your response to a mistake or a delay was anything other than "Okay, we'll take a much time and trouble as are necessary to get it right." There was never even a hint of anyone saying that the schedule was getting late so we would have to cut corners. I told her that that had impressed me about you the very first time we met, and that was why I chose to have MK publish the book instead of someone else. If I had sold it to O'Reilly, it probably would have been on the shelves a long time ago, but it would also have been a much poorer book. I'm writing to tell you this because I don't want you to get the idea from my griping on my mailing list that I am dissatisfied. Delays and mistakes are inevitable. But finding people who will take them seriously and to address them carefully is far from inevitable. Your attitude and MK's attitude about dealing with mistakes and delays is exactly what I want, and I don't want you to think I take it for granted. So thank you, and please have a happy new year.
